DENVER – The 2024 Class 4A girls tennis team state championship came down to a final and decisive third set.
 

For the first time since 2017, a team other than Cherry Creek won the Class 5A girls tennis team state championships.

AURORA – Despite rain delays and location changes, particularly in Colorado Springs and Pueblo, the Colorado High School Activities Association awarded its individual medalists in all seven positions at the Girls Tennis Individual State Championship on Saturday. 

DENVER – Caroline Daugherty was understandably disappointed after losing in the semifinals and eventually placing fourth at state last season, as she felt it wasn’t her talent but her constitution that let her down.

Due to rain in Pueblo and Colorado Springs, the Colorado High School Activities Association has moved the 4A Girls Tennis Individual State Championships indoors to Pueblo Tennis Center at the Pueblo Country Club and the 3A tournament is in a rain delay.

The first two rounds of the Colorado High School Activities Association’s Girls Tennis Individual State Championship Tournaments were completed Thursday at Denver City Park, Pueblo City Park and Memorial Park. The semifinal round will be played tomorrow with the finals set for Saturday. Play will begin at 9 a.m. on both days.

The 2024 Colorado High School Activities Association will take place on Tuesday, May 14 at the Denver Tennis Park.
