INDIANAPOLIS, IN (January 31, 2025) — Multiple contacts by one player attempting to play the ball will now be allowed on second contact if the next contact is by a teammate on the same side of the net. This elimination of a judgment call by officials highlights the 2025-26 high school volleyball rules changes.
The 2024 MLB Draft is now in the books and 10 of the players who were selected played for Colorado High School Activities Association member schools while in high school. Over the last six MLB Drafts, only last season’s featured more former CHSAA players (12).
INDIANAPOLIS, IN (July 11, 2024) — Beginning next season, the indirect free position will be eliminated in high school girls lacrosse when a minor foul is committed by the defense in the 12-meter fan. Now, the player who is fouled will be allowed to shoot from a free position on the 12-meter fan.
INDIANAPOLIS, IN (July 9, 2024) — Effective with the 2025 season, races in high school track and field will be recalled in the first 50 meters when a competitor falls due to contact with another competitor. This change, which was one of eight revisions recommended by the NFHS Track and Field and Cross Country Rules Committee at its June 10-12 meeting in Indianapolis, relates to races not run in lanes, or when two or more competitors are assigned to a single lane.
