LAKEWOOD – Mountain Vista had owned the Class 5A boys 3,200-meter relay before getting knocked off the throne a year ago.
1A baseball: No. 4 Flatirons, No. 6 Haxtun to meet for state championship Friday at 10 a.m.
Due to a lightning delay between the two semifinal games on Thursday, the second semifinal game between Akron and Haxtun was delayed, forcing the 1A baseball state championship game to be moved to Friday at 10 a.m. The game will be played at All Star Park and all tickets from today will be honored.

4A girls lacrosse: Castle View, Mead advance to state title game
ENGLEWOOD — It was all about late-night dramatic victories Wednesday at Englewood High School’s Randy Penn Stadium. No. 1-seeded Castle View and No. 2 Mead both scored 1-goal wins over the last two Class 4A girls lacrosse state champions to punch their tickets to the title game.
