ARVADA — Ralston Valley coach Chris Braketa knew a 0-2 start in the Class 6A Jeffco League would be a tough hole to climb out if the Mustangs had hopes of repeating as conference champs.

DENVER — Evergreen boys basketball brought the early energy, but D’Evelyn short-circuited the Cougars to grab a big conference win Wednesday night.

In this week’s rankings, Fossil Ridge (6A) and Eagle Ridge Academy (4A) are the new No. 1 teams.

In this week’s rankings, Mesa Ridge jumped up to the No. 1 spot in Class 5A.
