Denver Broncos Flag Football Coach of the Week: AJ Carter, Denver North

AURORA – Denver North’s flag football program, which has steadily built a strong foundation in recent years, is off to an impressive start in 2025. The Vikings currently sit at 8-2, powered by an explosive ground attack and a stingy defense.
In recognition of his leadership and success, head coach AJ Carter has been named CHSAA’s Denver Broncos Flag Football Coach of the Week.

Denver Broncos Flag Football Coach of the Week: Aaron Waters, Poudre School District

AURORA – There’s a new team on the flag football scene this season with the Poudre School District squad.
 
And it made a name for itself last week improving to 6-1 with wins of 12-7 over previously-undefeated Legacy and 25-13 over Northglenn, which had been 6-2. With its only loss 7-6 to defending 4A champion Mountain View, Poudre School District is ranked No. 12 in 5A.
 
For his efforts, Aaron Waters has been recognized by being named the CHSAA/Denver Broncos Flag Football Coach of the Week.

Denver Broncos Flag Football Coach of the Week: Greg Johnson, Ralston Valley

AURORA – After two seasons as the team’s defensive coordinator, Greg Johnson moved up to head coach at Ralston Valley this season.
 
After wins last week over previously undefeated Northfield (18-16) and Columbine (48-6), the Mustangs improved to 7-1, just one win short of last year’s 8-9 campaign that ended in the state playoffs, and they are ranked No. 3 in 5A in CHSAA’s selection & seeding index.
 
For his efforts, Johnson has been recognized by being named the CHSAA/Denver Broncos Flag Football Coach of the Week.
