LAKEWOOD — Arvada West girls flag football is in a class by itself when it comes to the Class 5A Jeffco League.

The Grandview Wolves flag football program is turning a corner under head coach Mark Fisher.

ARVADA — Class 5A Jeffco League girls flag football opened up conference play Saturday at the North Area Athletic Complex.

The Colorado High School Activities Association has announced the date and location of the inaugural Flag Football State Championships, as both the 4A and 5A championship games will be played at Trailblazer Stadium in Lakewood on Saturday, Nov. 2.
 

This year, the Colorado High School Activities Association has added a new sport to its fall roster, with flag football joining the fray. This addition provides new athletic opportunities for so many girls across the state of Colorado and nowhere is that more evident than at Mountain View High School.

INDIANAPOLIS, IN (August 19, 2024) — At the request of its member state associations to address the nation’s fastest-growing emerging high school sport, the NFHS will be writing playing rules for flag football, effective with the 2025-26 season.

AURORA – The Colorado High School Activities Association and the Denver Broncos held a joint press conference Wednesday morning at the Pat Bowlen Fieldhouse at Centura Health Training Center to celebrate Tuesday’s vote at the Legislative Council meeting to sanction girls flag football beginning with the 2024-25 school year. 

CENTENNIAL — On Tuesday, Colorado became the 11th state to have girls flag football as a sanctioned high school sport.
