Dakota Ridge joins 5A boys cross country ranking

Dakota Ridge is the lone newcome to this week’s Colorado Track XC/CHSAANow.com boys cross country poll in 5A.

Spencer Painton ended the first nine holes by shooting a 37, or 1-over par. After 18, though, he was on top of the leaderboard.

The boys golf state championships kicked off around the state on Monday in classes 5A, 4A and 3A.

It was anything but easy for Wheat Ridge softball to claim its sixth straight Class 4A Jeffco League title Monday afternoon.
