The preseason boys basketball rankings are out. The No. 1 teams are: Grandview (5A), Lewis-Palmer (4A), Colorado Academy (3A), Yuma (2A) and Sangre de Cristo (1A).
Rampart (4A) and Mead (3A) have each joined this week’s football rankings.
This week’s volleyball rankings added four new teams: Chatfield (5A), Palisade (4A), Middle Park (3A) and McClave (1A).
Dove Creek (1A), Valley (3A) and Erie (4A) have all joined this week’s volleyball rankings.
Fossil Ridge’s Dillon Stewart, Montrose’s Micah Stangebye and Kent Denver’s Jackson Klutznick lead the 2018 all-state boys golf teams.
Bennett (in 3A) and Stratton/Liberty (in 1A) are the two newcomers in this week’s volleyball rankings.
The weather was beautiful, the course at Flying Horse was beautiful, and Micah Stangebye’s game was beautiful.
Micah Stangbye is a dual leader at the 4A state boys golf tournament as he holds the individual lead and Montrose has the team lead.
