This weekend, Silver Creek softball will host the 4A Region 8 tournament and it intends to start a postseason run that they hope will end in a state championship.
The pairings for softball’s regional tournaments were released on Monday. Cherokee Trail (5A), Pueblo County (4A) and Strasburg (3A) earned top seeds.
Arvada West (in 5A) and Longmont (4A) are newcomers to this week’s softball rankings.
Class 1A’s North Central league features four teams ranked in this week’s top-10. So Friday’s matchup between No. 5 Wray and No. 6 Burlington was of a little extra importance.
Legend (5A), Golden (4A) and Limon (3A) have each joined this week’s softball rankings.
ThunderRidge (5A), Pueblo South (4A), Roosevelt (4A) and Rocky Ford (3A) each joined the softball rankings this week.
University is the new No. 1 team in this week’s Class 3A softball rankings.
