The 2017 regional softball tournaments were on Saturday. Sixteen teams in each classification secured spots in next week’s state tournaments.
Evergreen (4A), Valley (3A), Wiggins (2A) and Union Colony (2A) are all newcomers to this week’s volleyball rankings.

Silver Creek (4A) and La Junta (3A) have joined their respective softball rankings this week.
Ralston Valley football picked up a huge win on Friday night, knocking off top-ranked Pine Creek and ending the Eagles’ state-best 15-game winning streak.
No. 6 Highlands Ranch volleyball handed top-ranked Castle View its first in-state loss this season on Tuesday.
Wiggins (2A), Dolores (2A), Bennett (3A), Evergreen (4A) and Rocky Mountain (5A) have each joined the volleyball rankings this week.
Golden (4A), Meeker (3A) and Faith Christian (3A) have all joined this week’s softball rankings.
