A total of ten new teams entered this week’s baseball rankings, across all classifications.
Led by senior Cody Robinson, Yuma claimed its second straight Class 2A championship and third in the past four years Saturday.
Fresh off watching the girls team go back-to-back, the Yuma boys accomplished the same feat Saturday.
The 2019 preseason baseball rankings are here. The No. 1 teams in each class: Nucla (1A), Peyton (2A), University (3A), Pueblo West (4A) and Mountain Vista (5A).
Highlands Ranch (5A), Air Academy (4A), Colorado Springs Christian (3A), Del Norte (2A) and Kit Carson (1A) have all stayed on top of their respective girls basketball rankings this week.
All five No. 1 teams held firm in this week’s boys basketball rankings, meaning Chaparral (5A), Lewis-Palmer (4A), Sterling (3A), Holly (2A) and De Beque (1A) remained atop their respective polls.
Regis Jesuit (5A), Centauri (3A), Front Range Baptist (1A) and Cheraw (1A) have all joined this week’s basketball rankings.

Chaparral (5A) and Holly (2A) have each moved up to the No. 1 spot in their respective boys basketball rankings this week.
