HIGHLANDS RANCH — No. 2 seed Mountain Vista advanced to the Class 5A boys basketball Sweet 16 with a 72-63 win over No. 7 Doherty on Saturday.
Four players scored in double figures for the Golden Eagles: Ray Beresford (13), Nick Pepper (12), James Viergutz (11) and Jake Belknapp (11). In addition, Brady Subart and Isaac Phillips both scored nine points. Subart also had seven assists.
