LOVELAND â Cherry Creek and Monarch will meet in hockey’s championship game on Saturday after both teams won in the semifinals on Thursday night.
Cherry Creek outlasted Dakota Ridge in six overtimes, 3-2, in a game that is believed to be the longest in state history.
Monarch, meanwhile, topped Regis Jesuit 5-1 to return to hockey’s title game for the third straight season.
