No qualified student with a disability shall, solely by reason of that disability, be denied access to, participation in, or the benefits of any CHSAA sponsored activity. This policy applies to any student(s) who (a) has a physical or mental impairment that substantially limits a major life activity, or (b) has a record or history of such an impairment, or (c) is regarded as having such an impairment.”

MLB Draft features 12 players with ties to Colorado

Over the course of the last three days, the Colorado High School Activities Association had 12 former baseball players drafted by Major League Baseball in the 2023 MLB Draft. The 12 individual draftees mark the most for CHSAA since 2018, with the four players selected straight out of high marking the most Colorado high school seniors drafted since 2017.

Eaton’s Walker Martin Drafted by San Francisco Giants at No. 52 in MLB Draft

AURORA – Eaton High School shortstop Walker Martin was selected by the San Francisco Giants in the second round of the 2023 Major League Baseball Draft Sunday night. The 52nd pick overall, Martin becomes the 10th-highest pick straight out of a Colorado high school in state history, and the highest since the Baltimore Orioles took Cherry Creek outfielder Darnell McDonald at No. 26 in 1997.

Foundation Golf Tournament Registrations are Full

The Foundation for Colorado High School Activities will host its Foundation Golf Tournament on August 1 at Arrowhead Golf Course in Littleton. All proceeds will benefit the Foundation, a 501(c) 3 organization, which provides funding support for safety, sporting behavior, coaching education and other educational initiatives for the youth and communities within the Colorado High School Activities Association (CHSAA).

CHSAA Celebrates 2022-2023 State Champions

AURORA – The Colorado High School Activities Association would like to congratulate its membership for another successful year. Throughout the 2022-23 academic year, CHSAA crowned 111 team champions across its sports and activities, with 69 different schools claiming at least one title and 24 winning multiple championships.

Hall of Fame Nominations Now Open

AURORA – The Colorado High School Activities Association is now accepting nominations for the CHSAA Hall of Fame. Nominations must be submitted by August 15 for consideration as part of the Class of 2023.
