LIMON – On Friday, Oct. 6, Limon High School was the host of the CHSAA Student Leadership Fall Summit for the second time in three years. Over 160 students representing 18 schools from the Front Range and Eastern Plains attended the conference. This year’s keynote speaker was actor, author and inspirational speaker, Johan Khalilian. Khalilian told the students that they would face challenges and that life will be difficult at times, but in those difficult times they get to decide what kind of leaders they want to be. The Badger Leaders, working closely with Limon High School counselor and CHSAA Student Leadership Advisory Committee member, Mrs. Shirelle Bandy, organized events, and break-out sessions that challenged the students to lead by stepping up, working hard through tough times, and connecting to others.
