Buena Vista Demons vs. Centauri Falcons

Kickoff: 7:00 PM

Station: Eagle Country 104.7

Play by Play: Jimmy Doogan Color: Bob Marken

On the matchup: The Buena Vista Demons have been impressive in their past few games, getting off to an undefeated start. Reasons why can be attributed to a lot, but the retooled offensive and defensive lines have had much to do with it. How will they handle their biggest test of the season remains to be seen though. Centauri is always a powerhouse for the 1A classification and have some true size on their front lines. Also, the Demons lost senior safety and wide receiver Luke Yates to an ankle injury for at least this week. That could be a point the Falcons will attempt to attack in the game.

Class 2A

Salida Spartans vs. Cedaredge Bruins

Kickoff: 7:00 pm

Station: The Peak 92.3

Play by Play: Caleb Burggraaf Color: Jack Spady

On the matchup: The Spartans are getting some help with a few new faces out, but they won’t be ready for tonight’s game with Cedaredge. That means it is one more chance for the Spartans young offensive line to make a push and standout. That has been the focal point for the Spartans, and with the Bruins coming in as a 1A team, the Spartans are hoping to earn some confidence before league. The Bruins have a strong running attack though, and with that, comes the knowledge that their line is still going to challenge Salida. A big game for both sides as league play is on the horizon.
